Who makes the Rosey Parka raincoats?
The raincoats are made by a happy, dedicated band of tailors in Bali, Indonesia. This team is headed by our friend, supplier and trouble shooter Risa Rusianto. To read more and see photos, click Philosophy.
Is Rosey Parka fair trade?
Yes, we have a policy of paying our tailors, checkers, cutters, runners and administration team a very fair wage.
Is there child labour or sweat shop working conditions at Rosey Parka?
No, definitely not. No children are employed or exploited at our workshop in Bali. The raincoats are are created in a workshop not a factory environment. The single storey units are surrounded by banana trees and in the central garden children and chickens run wild while the sewing machines hum in the background. The creators of Rosey Parka visit Bali at least twice a year to make sure that none of this ever changes. To see photos of the team visit Philosophy.
